And pow! Back in action for a small update! For anyone who’s a big fan of those Japanese side scrolling shooters, or Shmups (Sounds dirty) Cave has announced a few new games and an update to one of their iPhone games. As IGN.com reports, Cave is releasing one for worldwide called Nin-2 Jump. (It’s suppose to be Nin Nin Jump, why they don’t just call it that is beyond me) The story follows a character named Nin Ja (Oh god the puns) out to save a precious princess from an evil ninja, thankfully the name is not another play on words. One that’s only coming out for Japan is Akai Katana Shin, unfortunately it looks like just another bullet hell to me so here’s hoping they threw in a cool story to go with it. Punching in the numbers to my handy Likely-hood machine (which sits next to my sarcasm detector) the chance of a good story… Oh dear, I don’t even want to say.
Now one of these games they announced is actually not a shmup, but instead is a story driven adventure game. Instant Brain, the game where you just add water and… No? That’s not what it’s about? Then why call it that? Well anyways the store goes this Paparazzi guy named Zenya Harataki who gets great pictures using this special camera that can take pictures of other people’s memories. You thought the stalkerazzi was bad.
As for on the iPhone front Cave is bringing the 360 game Death Smiles to the mobile platform. Aiming for a Spring release this game is sure to help kill time when on your work break, getting plenty of Death Smiles from the boss. Take that however you like to. As for the update, the game Mushihimesama Bug Panic is getting a free update that’s including multiplayer through internet play and Bluetooth. I don’t know about you but the ability to blow up bugs sounds like a 7 year olds dream. (Or 24 year old if you happen to be a pyro)
